Exactly the kind of game you expect on the internet. Mind you last time I played a "Flash Game" like this was 10 years ago in a public library.

Charming
Graphically not overwhelming but it doesn't need to be.
Simple controls, the game is called drift and that's what the car does.

Brownie points for the colour change of the background on restarts. A silly little extra feature most people don't notice or care to think about. Thought went into this.

Also very clever, the mechanics make for some great level design potential you barely scratched the surface with here. One of the best I've seen on the portal in a long time.

Criticism as everyone on Newgrounds deserves to improve. Timers for levels would be a great addition as your gif shows the speedrunning potential of this game. Crossed with the level design I mentioned earlier.

Lack of originality immediately puts me off. Too simple to cheese with the fights. Slower pace would make this more enjoyable.

The paragonX9 comment below definitely hits home. Definitely has that energy and composition style but obviously this is uniquely your own. Melodically a masterpiece and I love the progression of the chords/melodies.

My only critique personally is I found the mix a bit dull, compressing your high end too much on the master or something? Doesn't need to be raspy but definitely needs to be boosted for future reference.

The other comment regarding the hats being too busy, I don't agree. I think the hats are the best part of the drum track.
