Nutty. Very powerful. Very melodic. Loving the sidechain, that kick punches hard

Very interesting take on the genre. Any other time that bass would drown the song but it somehow works here.. it's very industrial sounding. Got the reverb just right on the percussion.

My only complaint there is a lot to it. But there isn't from a listeners perspective. A small break here or there even for split seconds to introduce new sections would have made it flow better.

You must really hate your friend... :D Sounds rough but in a good way. Aggressive yet cheerful melodies and concepts throughout. Shouldn't work but does. Would fit the video-game catagory just as much as experimental.

Love the pitch automation before the drops etc not something you see often on tracks. That really stood out to me

MYYA responds:

Reading this made me feel good, thank you :3

You could have added more bass eq to an arp and greatly improve this. Kick is lovely and powerful but no bass really complimenting it.

Melodic content is nice. Flows well.

Especially like the break at 0:53. Can hear a saw lead but something else under it. Is there a guitar/sitar playing?

ReverieOfTrance responds:

Thanks for the feedback. It is an older song of mine. Yes, there is a guitar...

I really like this. Sounds like one of those old cheesy club tunes (UK scene at least not sure where you're from)

One thing I can tell you straight away I didn't even know there was a kick in this track half the time, volume or punch needs increased either will work.

Love the presets you've used, the plucks sound almost like steel drums.

I just woke up, didn't read the title or description before the terraria samples started hitting.

Instantly smiled, genuine blind reaction.

For criticism, the piano was unexpected and I love a good piano but it didn't fit in my OPINION. The contrast of instruments before and after that break was the culprit for me. Not that I'm awake enough to know what you could have used in it's place to make a suitable breakdown. On the flipside of that, the flute you'd expect to fit even less but it is fantastic.

Sounds like a great track for a racing game or a long drive through your Tunturi :D

I love the melody, the arp at the start is dark in style but still manages to be an uplifting melody which is very cool.

The bass works but its very simple and I feel that's where the track could improve for some criticism! I would like to hear the rolling bassline more-over the offbeat.

Mastering is very well done, low end is nice and tight, highs aren't too bright. Mids get a little muddy during the main sequence but that's to be expected with complicated trance with lots of instruments.

Would categorise this under Drum & Bass or Drumstep rather than trance.

But it sounds amazing, I love the vinyl effect in the background :D and the melody is so chill and relaxing. You also don't hear brass instruments in this sort of music often. Nice touch!

EpicAntos responds:

Duly noted. I was unsure about which category to choose for this track. But it’s rightfully been changed to Drum & Bass. Thank you for your recommendation :)

Bit of sidechain and better low-end compression would help. Maybe try and add some wobbles to the bass for that cliche dubstep sound!

Very dark and mysterious, loved the intro a lot. Transitioning to a full rolling bass having it on every note wasn't expected and didn't suit my fancy tbh. But that's personal preference, no fault of the track.

Reason for the 4/5 is just the lack of substance. The theme and atmosphere are nice but there is a lot of untouched potential you could have pushed in the middle and later stages of the track.

Been producing a while on and off. Have a youtube channel with the same name if you'd like to see music/gaming content :D
