I really really like it. BUT. It's so DRY

Psytrance is all about atmosphere and a little reverb goes a long way to creating that. Snare is a little loud but that really is nitpicking. The substance of a great psytrance track here at the end of the day. Just left out your effects, intentionally obviously but feel it's hurt the track

Velsyan responds:

Yeah, this is my first psytrance track lol. I will definitely work on the fx and reverb my next song :)). I'm glad you enjoyed!

Deaf. Turn it up before you export next time :D

In all seriousness, short as it is. Doesn't feel eerie to me. Would be great for people that can flip samples effectively for future projects I guess! :D

Haneki responds:

Thanks for the feedback, I replaced the file with one that I made louder, this is more meant as a sample like another one of my audios than a song. I laughed when I saw deaf btw. Thanks for the rating.

Love that bass. Not familiar with your other work or the EP. But this track judged on it's own hopefully speaks for the rest.

Biggest love of this for me is your DRUMS and BASS are clear, not drowned out by other instruments. Fantastic.

Your use of pads in the breakdowns are nice too, don't see that often in this genre

SuperSoniker responds:

Thank you very much for the comment! :)

Slap bass fits, which feels odd :D Love the effects and risers. Great drum samples used here, not sure if they're loops or you made them but they're very cliche DnB which I like.

Prefer melodic stuff, so would have liked to see more substance. Gets a bit muddy at the end, but that seems to be due to the nature of the low octave sounds you've used

camsn8ke responds:

thanks so much, love constructive criticism
those drum samples are from a drum pattern called the Amen Break, not sure if you've heard of it or not https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwQLk7NcpO4 The drum patterns i made myself however :/
and yeh I always use classic bass guitar in my tracks
and yes at the end I mixed four or five drum patterns all with the same drum samples (the amen break ones obviously) so thats why it sounded so "muddy"
thanks a lot

Piano is incredible, orchestral instruments during the breakdown are incredible. Mastering is incredible. Atmosphere is incredible.

Song is incredible.

Incredible/10

Authorwind responds:

Aaaaa perfect XD <3<3<3

Definitely made me more afraid of clowns :D

My feedback; it's incredibly muddy. Your kick is very loud too it overpowers the rest of the instruments throughout not just at the beginning.

On the plus side, your theme is great. Instrument choice is fine and the fact this is made on a mobile DAW is quite astonishing. Good job!

clefergers responds:

2 songs ago someone told me my kicks were weak, so I may have over compensated this time... oop

Also this might just be my $10 earbuds, but how is it muddy- is there excessive bass I'm not picking up?

I'm sorry about the meow emoji- I regret it now. Ignore it.

That bass is insane! Also i usually hate basic square/saw/sine leads. But the square you used fits so well. Lot of thought went into the effects too, love the orchestral hits in the 2nd part.

SevenChakras responds:

really glad you liked it! you hit on all of my favorite parts so I'm grateful that you left a comment :)

That melody alone sold me, sounds great dude!

Only complaint the bass is a little muddy. Can't make out the individual elements to specify though

If i was any good at working with samples. There would be some great potential here, that's my take on it anyway.

SarahRBC responds:

Nice opinion, you is so sweet!

Definitely smooth. I'll give you that :D

Been producing a while on and off. Have a youtube channel with the same name if you'd like to see music/gaming content :D
